Job Title: Client Review Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Client Review Counsel to play a crucial role in reviewing, analyzing, and providing insightful comments on various legal documents such as Outside Counsel Guidelines, requests for proposal, client-generated engagement letters, and expert engagement letters. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctorate degree, be in good standing with the local Bar or applicable state supreme court, and have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

  • Review, analyze, and provide comments on Outside Counsel Guidelines, requests for proposal, client-generated engagement letters, and expert engagement letters.
  • Facilitate, track, and assist in implementing Outside Counsel Guidelines.
  • Provide support to other members of the Office of General Counsel, including Conflicts Counsel, Senior Client Review Counsel, and General Counsel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the firm’s General Counsel.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree and in good standing with the local Bar or applicable state supreme court.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, with skills in contract review/drafting, issue spotting, professional liability, or loss prevention preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage sensitive and confidential information, and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a high degree of interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Arizona or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
