Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team in Walnut Creek, California. This role involves independently managing a diverse caseload, including commercial, contract/business disputes, general liability, construction, catastrophic injury, and wrongful death claims. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong advocacy skills, committed to delivering successful client outcomes.

Duties:

• Handle litigation cases independently from initiation to resolution
• Develop and implement legal strategies for various disputes
• Manage discovery, including taking and defending depositions
• Coordinate with experts and engage in law and motion practice
• Represent clients in mediations, hearings, and trial preparations
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to a diverse clientele

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of litigation experience in general liability, construction, personal/catastrophic injury, contracts/business, and/or commercial disputes
• Proven ability to handle cases independently, including trial preparation and strategy development
• Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Client-focused mindset with a dedication to achieving favorable outcomes

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and motion practice
