Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in New Orleans, LA. This hybrid position is ideal for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in areas such as Insurance Defense, Professional Liability, Construction Defects, Maritime Law, Employer's Liability/Workers' Compensation, or Corporate Contracts. The successful candidate will possess strong legal writing skills, be highly motivated, and have a passion for providing legal solutions in these specialized areas.

Duties:

• Handle cases in various practice areas, including insurance defense, maritime law, and workers' compensation.
• Provide legal advice and support to clients, ensuring their legal needs are met effectively.
• Draft and review legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, and contracts.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and development.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and assist in case management and development.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant areas of law, such as insurance defense, maritime law, and corporate contracts.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work efficiently in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in negotiating and representing clients in legal matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Louisiana (required).
• Additional licenses in Texas and/or Mississippi (preferred).
