Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Defense Associate Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join its team in Tallahassee, FL. Duties:

• Independently manage a caseload of workers' compensation defense cases
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
• Provide legal counsel to clients on workers' compensation issues and defense strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure effective case management
• Maintain a proactive approach in case resolution and client communication

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense
• Licensed to practice law in Florida
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines
• Experience in representing clients in hearings and mediation
• Detail-oriented with a focus on effective case strategy and client service
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Member in good standing with the Florida Bar
