A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking an eDiscovery Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have relevant industry affiliations and possess excellent counseling, writing, and hands-on litigation skills. Labor and employment experience is a plus. The attorney will play a crucial role in the firm's legal team, focusing on electronic discovery processes and procedures. The candidate should have a strong background in litigation and be well-versed in eDiscovery technologies and practices.

 

Duties:

  • Conducting legal research and analysis related to eDiscovery matters.
  • Managing and overseeing the entire eDiscovery process for assigned cases.
  • Collaborating with legal teams to identify, preserve, collect, process, review, and produce electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Advising on legal and technical aspects of eDiscovery, including data privacy and security issues.
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents, including motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Provided counsel on eDiscovery best practices and ensured compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participating in case strategy meetings and contributing insights on eDiscovery implications.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience in eDiscovery, with a focus on litigation.
  • Strong understanding of eDiscovery tools, technologies, and platforms.
  • Familiarity with labor and employment law is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

 

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent counseling and communication skills.
  • Hands-on experience in all phases of the eDiscovery process.
