Duties:

• Advise clients on their legal rights and draw up legal documents related to their case
• Attend pretrial hearings on behalf of clients and provide post-hearing advisement on strategic approaches
• Manage court appearances and trials, draft motions, interview witnesses, and conduct legal research
• Analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents
• Manage the workload of cases efficiently and effectively
• Provide legal analysis for clients to determine potential case benefits
• Accrue additional evidence to support clients' cases or counter the prosecution's charges
• Prepare clients for depositions and gather information from witnesses and experts
• Collaborate with fellow associates to strategize and support each other in case management

Requirements:

• Experience handling criminal cases at the federal, state, and local levels
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar
