Duties

  • Manage individual caseload with guidance from partners
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums
  • Attend court hearings and conferences
  • Conduct and defend depositions
  • Attend property inspections as needed
  • Consult with expert witnesses to support case strategy
  • Participate in mediations and assist with trial preparation and trials

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or related fields
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple cases
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (required)
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar is a plus but not mandatory
