Job Overview: A law firm in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a dedicated Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will provide legal counsel on real estate transactions, with a focus on construction contracting and development projects.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements across various industry sectors.
  • Negotiate EPC contracts for extensive infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on claims management, change orders, extra work claims, delay, and construction defect claims.
  • Support construction litigation and arbitration matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions and participating in depositions, mediations, and hearings.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, colleagues, and third parties.
  • Produce high-quality work products within deadlines.
  • Adhere to firm policies and practices, fostering positive relationships internally and externally.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2 years of experience in construction contracting and related development work.
  • Experience with transactional and litigation support in construction and development.
  • Familiarity with industry form agreements (e.g., AIA and similar forms).
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar preferred.
  • Prior experience in litigation or arbitration is a plus.
