Employment Attorney

A law firm in Kansas City is seeking an Employment Attorney to provide legal support and advice to the firm’s business clients on employment law matters. The candidate should have strong academic credentials, exceptional analytical and writing abilities, and outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Duties:

• Provide legal support and advice to business clients on employment law matters
• Investigate reported incidents of workplace and student policy violations, including alleged sexual harassment and sexual misconduct on college and university campuses
• Conduct research and draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and policy documents
• Prepare charge responses and advise clients on employment-related issues
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients in a team-oriented environment

Requirements:

• 5+ years of employment law experience in both advising and litigation roles
• Strong academic credentials
• Admission to the State Bar in Kansas (or willingness to become admitted)
• Exceptional analytical and writing abilities
• Excellent client service skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in Kansas (or willingness to become admitted)
