Duties:

  • Handle criminal cases involving misdemeanors and felonies in state court, including charges such as assault, domestic violence, DUI, drug offenses, and theft.
  • Lead client consultations and recommend strategic legal approaches.
  • Oversee the work of paralegals and legal assistants, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in case management.
  • Manage case preparation, including discovery, pleadings, motions, and hearings.
  • Represent clients in criminal bench and jury trials.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and problem-solving skills when managing complex and evolving cases.
  • Travel statewide when necessary to meet client needs and attend hearings or trials.
  • Embrace a collaborative, hands-on role where various administrative and support tasks are required as part of the team effort.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Arizona and in good standing.
  • At least 2 years of experience in criminal law, whether from prosecution or defense.
  • Strong legal research and case analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to positively represent the firm to clients, peers, and the public.
  • High standards of personal integrity, with an emphasis on interpersonal communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

Education:
