A law firm seeks a dedicated Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team in Lithia Springs, GA. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in civil litigation and a passion for legal practice, particularly in representing clients in the niche area of Coin-Operated Amusement Machine (COAM) Law. Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload from initial client consultations through to resolution, including discovery, trials, and appeals.
  • Represent clients in various legal settings, including court proceedings, mediation, arbitration, and other forms of dispute resolution.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing platforms such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Draft and review a wide range of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests/responses, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective case strategies.
  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm's practice areas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and other parties to gather necessary information.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia and in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law.
  • Familiarity with litigation and courtroom procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Georgia State Bar.
