A law firm is seeking a Student Services And Special Education Associate Attorney. Joining team in Fresno, CA, the candidate will:

Job Overview:

  • Build client relationships with K-12 schools and community colleges.
  • Assist clients in the individualized education program process.
  • Present workshops, review, and revise policies and procedures.
  • Respond to state and federal compliance complaints and administrative due process hearings outside traditional litigation's adversarial context.

Duties:

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with K-12 schools and community colleges.
  • Provide legal assistance in the individualized education program process.
  • Conduct workshops for clients and stakeholders.
  • Review and revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Respond to state and federal compliance complaints promptly.
  • Represent clients in administrative due process hearings.

Requirements:

  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Membership in the State Bar of California.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Member of the State Bar of California.

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
