Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Employment, Labor & OSHA Associate with 3-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in transactional matters, client advising, M&A-related diligence, and drafting employment agreements. Expertise in labor & employment litigation, including advising on employment-related issues, restrictive covenants, and separation agreements, is also essential. Duties:

  • Advise clients on employment, labor, and OSHA-related legal matters.
  • Handle transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating employment agreements, separation agreements, and restrictive covenants.
  • Conduct M&A-related due diligence and assist with employment aspects of transactions.
  • Manage labor and employment litigation, including advising on disputes and representing clients in litigation proceedings.
  • Assist clients with compliance related to labor and employment laws and OSHA regulations.
  • Provide proactive guidance on workforce management issues, including employee classification, termination, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in employment, labor, and OSHA law (classes of 2018-2022).
  • Experience in transactional matters, M&A-related diligence, and employment agreement drafting.
  • Strong background in labor & employment litigation and advising.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters independently.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of the applicable location (Texas or New York).

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labor law, and OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage client relationships and provide strategic advice.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
