A law firm seeks a dedicated Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join its legal team in Lake Oswego, Oregon. Duties

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation defense matters through all stages of litigation

  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and prepare for hearings and trials

  • Manage case deadlines effectively, ensuring timely filings and responses

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies

  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials as necessary

  • Maintain regular client communication, providing updates and legal counsel

  • Participate in professional development and continuing legal education opportunities

Requirements

  • Active membership with the Oregon State Bar (Washington Bar membership preferred)

  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail

  • Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative legal team

  • Experience in litigation, particularly in workers’ compensation or employment law, is preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Oregon (Washington Bar membership is a plus)
