The successful candidate will represent clients in the collection of ad valorem taxes and other governmental receivables. Duties:

  • Prepare and review legal documents related to suit initiation and management.
  • Engage in motion practice and discovery processes.
  • Manage a substantial caseload, ensuring timely progress through trial and appellate processes.
  • Represent clients in tax court, District Courts, and courts in surrounding counties.
  • Foster client development through effective communication and interaction.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel locally during the day, with occasional evening events and overnight travel as required.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with or interest in the collection of ad valorem taxes and other governmental receivables, as well as applicable laws related to local government entities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar where the position is located.
