Job Overview

A law firm seeks a talented Labor & Employment Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles. This role focuses on providing strategic legal advice to management-level clients on a variety of workplace matters, handling litigation, and ensuring compliance with employment regulations. Duties

• Advise management clients on a range of employment law issues, including:
  • Discrimination claims
  • Wage and hour compliance
  • Employment contracts and workplace policies
  • Class action litigation and regulatory compliance
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft documents, including pleadings, memos, and policies.
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, administrative proceedings, and negotiations.
• Stay informed of changes in employment law and proactively guide clients on compliance strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4–6 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong background in wage and hour issues, discrimination claims, and class action cases.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters and provide strategic counsel to clients.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in drafting legal documents and engaging with clients.
