Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced attorney focused on expanding their practice in a new geographical area or specialized field. This role offers the opportunity to build a successful legal practice with support from a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should be self-starters with strong leadership skills, excellent time management, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
Duties:
Client Representation: Advocate for clients within a designated geographical area or specific practice area.
Matter Management: Accurately project service costs, create budgets for legal representation, and communicate financial expectations to clients.
Court Engagement: Regularly attend hearings, trials, and client meetings, advocating effectively in court.
Legal Case Oversight: Collaborate with paralegals to ensure proper documentation, strategy, and execution of legal matters.
Negotiation & Settlement: Work towards favorable resolutions for clients through various methods such as settlement, mediation, or litigation.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Partner with professionals like CPAs, social workers, and mental health experts to strengthen case outcomes.
Business Development: Engage in marketing, networking, and community activities to expand the firm’s reach and influence.
Requirements:
JD and admission to the Ohio Bar (Required)
Minimum 3-5 years of litigation experience
Proven ability to manage and develop a legal practice
Strong business development and client relationship-building skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with case management systems and remote tools
Willingness to travel for hearings and trials
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Admission to the Ohio Bar (Required)
