Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Livonia, MI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their medical malpractice defense team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in medical malpractice litigation, strong legal research and writing skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Attend depositions, mediations, and court hearings
• Collaborate with clients, medical experts, and professionals to develop case strategies
• Manage case files while ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met
• Provide legal advice and represent clients in legal proceedings, negotiations, and settlements

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active Michigan Bar license
• Experience in medical malpractice defense law
• Strong research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple cases

Education:

• Doctoral degree (Juris Doctor)

Certifications:

• Active Michigan Bar license (Required)
