A law firm in Columbia is seeking a Litigation Family Law Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a desire to develop a diverse practice with significant client contact. The primary focus will be on general litigation cases.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a variety of general litigation cases
  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings and trials
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders
  • Manage case files and deadlines effectively
  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff on case matters

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the state bar in South Carolina
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to family law cases
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated interest in developing a diverse practice
