Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a senior-level associate or counsel to join its Securities Enforcement Defense team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling securities enforcement matters, including SEC and FINRA examinations and investigations. 

Location

  • Roseland, NJ

Duties

  • Handle securities enforcement defense matters, including SEC and FINRA examinations and investigations.

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in regulatory inquiries and enforcement proceedings.

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and other legal documents.

  • Develop litigation strategies and represent clients in court proceedings, if necessary.

  • Advise clients on compliance with securities laws and regulations.

  • Collaborate with partners and other legal professionals on complex cases.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in securities enforcement defense.

  • Experience with SEC and FINRA examinations and investigations preferred.

  • Litigation experience is a plus.

  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to a state bar is required.

  • Preference for candidates admitted to the New York and/or New Jersey Bar.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of securities laws and regulations.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
