Job Description

Duties:

• Advise clients on privacy and data security compliance with federal, state, and international laws.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate privacy and data security risks.
• Draft and review privacy policies, terms of service, and other legal documents.
• Respond to data breaches and manage incident response processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data protection practices are in place.
• Keep abreast of evolving privacy and data security regulations and industry standards.
• Represent clients in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions.
• Provide training and guidance on best practices for privacy and data security.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in privacy and data security law.
• Significant knowledge of federal, state, and international privacy and data protection laws.
• Proven experience in advising on compliance matters related to personal information.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• An active CO, MN, NY, or PA license is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, or other relevant privacy certifications are a plus.

Skills:
