A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its expanding team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least three years of experience representing creditors in foreclosure, eviction, and title proceedings. Ideal candidates will have a strong desire to grow within these practice areas. Experience with creditor-side bankruptcy and litigation is a plus. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage a high-volume workload, work independently and collaboratively, and deliver exceptional client service.

Duties

  • Draft pleadings and motions related to foreclosure, eviction, and title proceedings.
  • Represent clients in court for motions, conferences, and mediations.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Handle general litigation matters as they arise.
  • Prioritize and manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure timely resolution of cases.
  • Maintain high professional standards while working independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in foreclosure, eviction, and/or title proceedings, or a strong interest in learning these areas.
  • Experience with creditor-side bankruptcy and litigation is a plus.
  • Admitted to practice in North Carolina, including federal district courts. Admission in additional states is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and maintain a strong work ethic.
  • A portable book of business is a plus.
  • Leadership and management skills are strongly preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in North Carolina (required).
  • Admission to practice in other states (preferred).

Skills

  • Strong legal writing and research skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle a heavy caseload and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in client interaction and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Knowledge of foreclosure and creditors' rights law, including related litigation.
