Duties:

• Provide clear explanations of immigration laws and propose strategic solutions for clients
• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals, both for non-detained and detained individuals
• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases
• Conduct client intakes and site visits at detention centers
• Prepare various immigration applications, including family-based immigration and removal defense
• Review immigration packets and adjust documents as necessary for accuracy
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law changes
• Meet with potential clients for consultations, develop legal strategies, and provide sound advice
• Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS and court testimony, including developing strategies
• Draft and submit legal briefs for a range of immigration cases

Requirements:

• 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law
• Strong track record of advancing legal cases and managing a caseload
• Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) preferred
• High-level interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience in Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR proceedings, Detained Cases, Citizenship applications, and other USCIS filings
• Familiarity with case management software is preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the State Bar of California

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in California (or pending admission)
