A law firm in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Municipal Law Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience practicing municipal transactional law. The ideal candidate will have experience handling public meetings and be licensed in California.

 

Duties:

  • Handle public meetings and advise clients on compliance with open meeting laws.
  • Draft ordinances and resolutions for municipal clients.
  • Provide legal guidance on land use and planning matters.
  • Advise on conflicts of interest and ethics regulations.
  • Navigate free speech regulations and public safety issues.
  • Assist with election law matters for public agency clients.
  • Provide legal support on other issues affecting municipal clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • 3-5 years of experience practicing municipal transactional law.
  • Experience drafting ordinances and resolutions.
  • Familiarity with open meeting laws and other municipal regulations.
  • Knowledge of land use, planning, and election law matters.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of California.
