Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation team with a focus on Bankruptcy and Creditor Rights. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent client service skills, and a commitment to achieving favorable results for clients. This position offers a dynamic work environment, allowing the individual to develop expertise in bankruptcy and commercial litigation while collaborating with experienced attorneys.

Location:

  • Lancester, PA

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all phases of commercial litigation, including case evaluation, strategy development, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation, working closely with senior attorneys.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients on case strategy and execution.
  • Manage client communications and provide timely, practical legal advice in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Stay up-to-date on legal trends and developments related to commercial bankruptcy and creditor rights litigation.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial litigation, particularly in bankruptcy and creditor rights.
  • Accredited law degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and be mentored by senior attorneys.
  • Experience with iManage software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
