Duties:

• Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals, for both detained and non-detained individuals.
• Conduct intake interviews with detained individuals at detention centers.
• Prepare and review a range of immigration applications, including family-based immigration petitions, removal defense, and humanitarian cases.
• Develop case strategies and provide clients with legal guidance.
• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to navigate changes in immigration law.
• Meet with prospective clients for consultations, offering strategic advice and developing tailored immigration strategies.
• Prepare clients and witnesses for USCIS and court testimony.
• Draft legal briefs and documents for various immigration matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Proven track record of managing a caseload and moving cases forward effectively.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative attitude.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred.
• Experience handling Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship applications, and USCIS filings.
• Familiarity with case management software is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in California.
