Job Title: Workers Compensation Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm located in Orange Park, FL, seeks an experienced Workers Compensation Attorney to join its team. This role requires a dedicated and professional individual to manage and investigate workers' compensation cases, communicate regularly with clients and insurance providers, and ensure that all aspects of cases are thoroughly handled from start to finish.

Duties:

  • Open new client files and initiate client contact, maintaining ongoing communication throughout the case.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into each case, collecting and analyzing intake information and relevant documents, entering data into a case management system.
  • Verify insurance coverage, identify liability issues, and maintain ongoing communication with insurance companies.
  • Oversee clients' medical care, including coordinating appointments and explaining procedures and related documentation.
  • Monitor case progress regularly, reviewing medical records and updating case status.
  • Organize and manage case files, preparing documentation for demand writers and further legal processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for working with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Ability to maintain high attendance and reliability.
  • Comfort with working on the phone for extended periods.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar (GA Bar Admission is also accepted).

Certifications:

  • Florida Bar Certification (or eligible for).

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a plus.
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
