Job Overview:

The Land Use, Planning, And Zoning Attorney will be pivotal in advising clients on navigating the complex regulatory landscape of land use, planning, and zoning. This role requires creative problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to client service.

Duties:

  • Advise developers and/or landowners on potential projects' alignment with community long-term plans.
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with clients.
  • Represent clients before government boards and agencies.
  • Manage multiple files, ensuring meticulous organization and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with local communities to advocate for project approvals.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the land use, planning & zoning field.
  • Licensed to practice in North Carolina or eligible to waive into the North Carolina Bar.
  • Graduation from an accredited law school.
  • Interest or experience in land use, planning & zoning field.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, public officials, and colleagues.
