Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Phoenix, AZ is actively seeking a seasoned litigation attorney to join a specialized practice group focused on high-stakes personal injury matters. This position involves leading and co-counseling on complex claims such as traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord damage, paralysis, severe burns, amputations, and wrongful death. Ideal for an attorney with prior exposure to medical negligence, product liability, or similarly intricate legal domains, this hybrid role combines trial readiness with strategic case development. The selected candidate will work closely with an experienced litigator, gaining exceptional mentorship while taking on meaningful, impactful litigation work.

Duties:

• Lead or assist in the prosecution of catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases

• Devise and implement litigation strategies tailored to complex medical and liability issues

• Conduct extensive legal research, draft persuasive pleadings, and prepare impactful motions

• Take and defend critical depositions, including those of expert witnesses

• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings

• Collaborate with legal team members on discovery, trial preparation, and client strategy

• Maintain active client communication and deliver consistent case updates

• Identify and coordinate with subject matter experts to support liability and damages claims

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, product liability, or medical malpractice

• Proven success in handling complex legal issues in high-damage cases

• Demonstrated ability to independently manage case files from intake to resolution

• Prior courtroom experience, including motions practice and trial involvement

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license in good standing with the Arizona State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
