A respected law firm is seeking a Mid-level Real Estate Associate to join its Pittsburgh, PA office. This role requires experience in commercial real estate law, with a focus on transactional matters such as acquisitions, financing, development, leasing, and disposition. The ideal candidate will excel at independent work, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and have a proven ability to manage client relationships.

Duties

  • Provide legal counsel on a variety of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, ownership, dispositions, financing, and leasing.
  • Address legal issues related to land use, zoning, and restrictive covenants.
  • Facilitate real estate and loan closings.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documents such as contracts, purchase agreements, easements, and developer agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex real estate matters.
  • Collaborate with the internal real estate team and clients to ensure successful deal completion.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in real estate law, particularly in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Advanced legal research and technical writing skills, with proficiency in tools such as WestLaw and Practical Law.
  • Strong academic and employment history.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Well-organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
