Duties:

  • Represent clients in personal injury cases, from intake through settlement or jury verdict

  • Develop case strategies and work collaboratively with legal teams
  • Take cases to trial as lead attorney (1st chair)
  • Guide junior attorneys and support staff
  • Ensure adherence to the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation
  • Proven track record as a 1st chair attorney in jury trials
  • In good standing with the Mississippi State Bar
  • Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Willingness to work locally or remotely, with a preference for candidates who are open to working in a newly established office

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in Mississippi

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing with the Mississippi State Bar
