A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join a growing practice specializing in workers' compensation defense in Beaverton, Oregon. This position offers the opportunity to work with a team representing employers in Washington workers' compensation claims. Duties:

  • Represent clients in Washington workers' compensation cases, advocating on behalf of employers.
  • Assist with case preparation, including legal research, document drafting, and correspondence.
  • Review and analyze medical records and other relevant documents for case strategy.
  • Provide advice and legal guidance to employers on workers' compensation matters.
  • Participate in hearings and administrative proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in workers' compensation defense is preferred but not required.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in Oregon and Washington, or eligible to apply through reciprocity or transfer of recent bar results.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret medical records and legal documents.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Bar membership in Oregon and Washington (Required).

Skills:

  • Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and defense strategies is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proficient with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
