Job Overview

A leading law firm is seeking an experienced International Employment Attorney to join its Employment Group. This position is ideal for an attorney with 5+ years of experience, particularly in cross-border and global employment matters. The role will involve employment counseling, drafting and negotiating employment agreements, advising on corporate transactions, and handling reductions in force and employee terminations. This attorney will collaborate with offices across the firm’s global network and provide counsel to emerging companies in various employment law matters.

Duties

  • Advise clients on employment aspects of corporate transactions, including employment diligence.
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, retention agreements, and restrictive covenants.
  • Counsel clients on reductions in force, employee terminations, and other workforce-related matters.
  • Provide legal advice on employee mobility issues.
  • Assist emerging companies with various aspects of employment law.
  • Collaborate with attorneys from other offices on global and cross-border employment issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in domestic and international employment laws.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law (domestic and/or international).
  • Strong background in employment counseling, particularly in a cross-border context.
  • Experience working with corporate transactions and corporate employment issues.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in drafting complex employment agreements.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage competing priorities.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction where you are applying.
