The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, including an LLM (preferred), and will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, client relations skills, and the capacity to handle multiple ongoing matters. This role involves providing expert tax advice on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice on tax implications and strategies related to mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance efforts.
  • Draft and review tax-related legal documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and transactional agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to develop effective tax strategies.
  • Manage several concurrent tax matters, ensuring that all deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Represent clients in negotiations with tax authorities and other relevant entities.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from a nationally recognized law school.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and international transactions.
  • LLM degree is preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously with high motivation and initiative.
  • Strong client relations skills and demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
