Duties

  • Handle probate, trust, and guardianship litigation matters from initiation to resolution.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and depositions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies.
  • Assist with the administration of probate and trust matters related to litigation.
  • Conduct legal research to support litigation strategies and case preparation.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and support staff to manage case files efficiently.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on probate and trust litigation (preferred).
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Proven ability to draft legal documents and represent clients in court.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar License in the state of Florida (required).

Skills

  • Experience in probate and trust litigation is highly desirable.
  • Strong research, writing, and legal analysis skills.
  • Litigation experience, including handling hearings and depositions.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines.
