A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join a growing practice in Glastonbury, CT. This position offers a dynamic environment where you will work on a wide range of legal matters, including real estate transactions, land use, estate planning, and more. Duties:

  • Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw to support senior attorneys in complex matters.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as contracts, conveyancing documents, pleadings, motions, and estate planning materials.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on various matters, including real estate, estate planning, and land use.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and contribute to the development of client solutions.
  • Maintain accurate, organized files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and complies with legal standards.
  • Participate in client meetings and provide regular updates on case progress.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Connecticut Bar and in good standing (with no disciplinary history).
  • At least three years of experience in real estate law and familiarity with at least one additional practice area, such as estate planning, corporate representation, or commercial litigation.
  • Strong legal drafting skills and proven experience in comprehensive legal research.
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex legal concepts to clients and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Connecticut (or eligible for licensure).

Skills:

  • Expertise in residential and commercial real estate law, estate planning, and/or corporate representation.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
  • Strong drafting skills and knowledge of legal document preparation.
