A law firm seeks a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join its team in St. Louis, MO. This role is designed for an attorney who will manage all facets of client representation in workers’ compensation cases from inception to resolution. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with support staff to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations while providing exceptional client service.

Duties

  • Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates and status on their claims.
  • Negotiate and interact with insurance companies on behalf of clients.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and correspondence.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all prepared documents.
  • Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff in adherence to workers’ compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active Bar license in Missouri.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in legal practice, preferably in workers’ compensation.
  • Preferred: Active Bar license in Illinois.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Missouri (required).
  • Active Bar license in Illinois (preferred).

Skills
