Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking an experienced securities attorney to join its Investment Funds Group. This is a professional track/non-partnership track position that requires expertise in managing structured securities offerings, with a strong focus on commercial real estate law. The role involves representing public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional and financial investors in various transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and commercial real estate development. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, good business judgment, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

Location:

  • San Diego, CA

Duties:

  • Manage structured securities offerings.

  • Advise clients on commercial real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.

  • Represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in various transactions.

  • Handle complex financings, restructurings, and commercial real estate development.

  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide strategic legal counsel.

  • Ensure compliance with securities regulations and real estate laws.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure transactions.

  • Maintain client relationships and provide high-quality legal services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings.

  • Strong background in commercial real estate law, finance, acquisitions, and dispositions.

  • Experience working with AmLaw 100 law firms preferred.

  • Ability to handle multiple transactions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction of application.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.

  • Attention to detail and strong business judgment.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
