Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in insurance coverage and defense matters.
  • Analyze insurance policies and contracts to determine coverage rights and obligations.
  • Evaluate insurance claims and advise clients on coverage issues and potential liabilities.
  • Represent insureds and insurance companies in litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research on insurance laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters.
  • Develop case strategies and guide clients throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Texas.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing insurance coverage and defense law.
  • Strong understanding of insurance laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Litigation experience, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
