Workers Compensation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, specializing in Workers' Compensation defense, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team. The position requires strong writing skills, experience with medical records review, and the ability to work independently in a virtual or remote setting.

Duties:

• Handle a caseload of Workers' Compensation defense matters from inception to resolution.
• Review and analyze medical records, deposition transcripts, and other evidence.
• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on complex legal issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as necessary.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar, in good standing.
• Preferably 1+ years of experience in Workers' Compensation defense.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Experience or familiarity with virtual work environments is preferred.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar.
