Job Overview:

A law firm based in Duluth, GA is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Trial Attorney to handle cases from start to finish, ensuring justice and compensation for injury victims. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for helping people, excellent credentials, and the ability to effectively represent clients in legal proceedings. Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients at hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions.
  • Conduct legal research on case law, premises liability, and gather relevant evidence such as insurance policies, medical records, and expenses.
  • Investigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, and claims.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of legal assistants, paralegals, and case managers.
  • Interview clients, witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, and medical providers to collect case information.
  • Maintain and update case files within the case management system.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 trials completed.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills.
  • Membership in the State Bar of Georgia and a valid state license to practice law.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • A solid understanding of personal injury law, tort law, medical terminology, and wrongful death claims.
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, research, and communication abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.

Skills:
