A law firm seeks an experienced mid-level litigation associate to join its Westchester County office in White Plains, NY. Duties:

  • Provide high-level legal support for complex litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
  • Research and analyze intricate legal issues, drafting clear and precise briefs for motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, class certification motions, writs, and appeals.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys in strategizing case approaches and preparing for hearings and trials.
  • Review legal documents and develop compelling arguments based on case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple cases, maintaining deadlines and effective communication with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of litigation experience, including work on complex legal matters.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is required.
  • Proven ability to analyze, research, and draft high-quality briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues.
  • Experience with motions to dismiss, summary judgment, class certification motions, and appeals.
  • Strong academic credentials, with an emphasis on research, writing, and attention to detail.
  • Admission to the New York Bar and in good standing.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • New York Bar license in good standing.

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in drafting complex legal documents.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
