A law firm seeks a Transactional Franchise & Distribution Associate Attorney to join its practice in Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in U.S. franchising regulations, skilled in drafting franchise agreements, and managing regulatory compliance. The position involves advising on complex business transactions within the franchise sector, serving a diverse clientele both domestically and internationally.

Duties:

  • Draft and review franchise agreements, franchise disclosure documents, and other regulatory filings.
  • Provide legal guidance on complex business transactions within franchise and distribution areas.
  • Counsel clients on franchising compliance and regulatory requirements, covering both U.S. and international matters.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys on both transactional and litigation issues in franchise law.
  • Serve a wide-ranging client base, including start-up franchisors, established franchise corporations, private equity firms, and international companies entering the U.S. market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transactional franchise law.
  • Proficiency in U.S. franchising regulations and compliance processes.
  • Admission to practice law in Georgia, or eligibility for admission via waiver.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Georgia State Bar or eligibility for admission.
