Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a proactive and client-focused Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and research skills, excel in a paperless environment, and demonstrate exceptional communication abilities. This role requires the attorney to develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external partners.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage workers' compensation defense cases from assignment through resolution, ensuring proactive and client-focused service.
• Conduct thorough research and provide detailed legal analysis to support case strategy and decision-making.
• Navigate effectively within a paperless environment, utilizing technology to manage case files and documentation.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Provide expert legal advice on workers' compensation matters, including case evaluation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and trials as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent from an accredited law school.
• Current State Bar License/Member in good standing in California.
• 1+ year of experience in workers' compensation defense preferred.
• Proven ability to manage cases efficiently from start to finish.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
