Patent Development And Strategy Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a skilled Patent Development And Strategy Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patent prosecution, client counseling, and drafting patent applications. They will work closely with clients to develop patent strategies and provide legal advice on intellectual property matters.

Job Duties:

• Communicate verbally and in writing with clients, lawyers, and business professionals.
• Produce high-quality deliverables and respond promptly to correspondence and client inquiries.
• Meet deadlines and perform all work duties with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external parties.
• Adhere to firm policies and practices.
• Engage in various activities, including computer work, virtual meetings, and conferences.
• Perform other assigned duties, tasks, or projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Registration with the USPTO.
• 2+ years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Familiarity with patent prosecution, client counseling, drafting patent applications, freedom to operate opinions, and due diligence.
• Previous experience in a large or mid-sized law firm.
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• Attention to detail and sound business judgment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Research and problem-solving abilities.
• Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.
• Persuasive communication and management skills.
• JD degree and a degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.
• Admitted to practice law in Washington State.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• Bachelor's or higher degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.
• Admission to practice law in Washington State.
