Duties

• Manage an active criminal defense caseload under the supervision of the Maryland Managing Attorney.
• Represent clients zealously in all stages of criminal litigation, including plea negotiations, investigations, motions practice, trial, and sentencing.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs.
• Develop and execute case strategies based on client needs and case analysis.
• Provide legal counsel to clients, advising them on the best course of action to achieve successful outcomes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in criminal law.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland.
• Ability to work independently and manage a heavy caseload.
• Strong communication, decision-making, problem-solving, and public speaking skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Maryland.
