A Fort Lauderdale, FL law firm is seeking an experienced and driven Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to manage a comprehensive litigation caseload. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in personal injury law, exceptional research abilities, and a solid background in discovery, depositions, and trial preparation. This role requires the attorney to handle all aspects of case management from inception through trial or resolution, including client interactions and court appearances. Duties:

  • Manage a litigation caseload from inception through trial or resolution
  • Conduct extensive case-related research into relevant laws and regulations
  • Negotiate settlements and other legal agreements on behalf of clients
  • Draft and interpret contracts, pleadings, motions, responses, and other legal documents
  • Attend and represent clients at court hearings and trials
  • Handle discovery requests, prepare discovery responses, and take and defend depositions
  • Investigate and gather facts relevant to each case
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Draft and file legal motions and responses in both state and federal courts
  • Manage all discovery matters, including drafting requests, preparing responses, and filing motions

Requirements:

  • License to practice law in the State of Florida in accordance with the Florida Bar Association
  • Minimum of 2 years of plaintiff litigation experience
  • Specific exposure to personal injury and property damage litigation is preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar Association

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Significant experience with written and electronic discovery
  • Proficiency in taking and defending depositions
  • Experience in trial preparation and participation
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently
