An esteemed mid-Atlantic Am Law 200 firm is seeking a Real Estate and Environmental Associate Attorney to join its Richmond, VA office. This role involves handling real estate transactions, environmental regulatory issues, and development projects. Ideal for a candidate with a strong background in real estate law and environmental compliance, this position offers opportunities to work on high-profile projects and engage in business development.

Location:

  • Richmond, VA

Duties:

  • Handle real estate purchase and sale agreements, contract drafting, leasing, and closings.
  • Advise clients on real estate development, land use, environmental compliance, and permitting.
  • Represent clients in environmental enforcement actions, contaminated site transactions, and brownfield redevelopment projects.
  • Participate in hearings and zoning meetings across Virginia on behalf of client interests.
  • Collaborate with clients on business development and expansion opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate transactions and environmental regulatory issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions independently and with attention to detail.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Virginia Bar admission required.
