A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking an Employment Law and General Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of experience in litigation and employment counseling, with additional expertise in medical malpractice defense, personal injury defense, or premises liability defense being advantageous. The candidate must have an active MA Bar admission or the ability to obtain admission quickly, with additional Bar admissions in Rhode Island and New Hampshire considered a plus.

Job Duties

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in employment law matters and general litigation cases.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and decision-making.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, depositions, and mediations.
• Develop and implement effective case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on complex cases.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to employment law and general litigation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
• Manage multiple cases and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
• Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and networking events.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in litigation and employment counseling.
• Experience in medical malpractice, personal injury, or premises liability defense is a plus.
• Active MA Bar admission or ability to obtain admission quickly.
• Bar admissions in Rhode Island and New Hampshire are a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active Bar admission in Massachusetts.
• Additional Bar admissions in Rhode Island and New Hampshire are preferred but not required.
