Pre Suit Attorney- Personal Injury

Job Overview: An experienced Pre-Suit Attorney is sought for a personal injury law firm located in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves handling the pre-litigation phase of personal injury cases, including gathering evidence, analyzing documents, negotiating settlements, and managing client relationships. The attorney will work closely with a dedicated legal assistant to ensure timely and efficient case management, while also maintaining communication with clients and insurance companies.

Duties:

• Manage and negotiate personal injury cases with insurance providers.
• Oversee a full caseload and ensure cases are handled efficiently.
• Supervise and work alongside a dedicated full-time legal assistant.
• Regularly communicate with clients and ensure their needs are met.
• Open new files and make initial client contact, maintaining ongoing communication throughout the case.
• Investigate cases thoroughly, gathering and analyzing intake information and related documents.
• Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, maintaining contact with insurance companies.
• Coordinate with medical providers and ensure clients' medical care is managed effectively.
• Schedule medical appointments and explain related procedures and documentation to clients.
• Continuously monitor case progress and review medical records.
• Prepare case files for submission to demand writers.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a personal injury caseload.
• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathetic, with the ability to engage with clients during difficult times.
• Motivated and determined to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
• Passionate, with a strong drive to succeed and achieve positive results.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
